Well Nation Pow Wow Step Groove & Vinyasa Yoga

This new Well Nation program will introduce participants to a beginner’s Yin and Ashtanga Yoga and Pow Wow Step Groove. Join instructor Josee Bourgeois and other Wellness Warriors as we start #ActivatingWellness and focusing on our spiritual and physical wellness through virtual Pow Wow Step Groove and Yoga classes.

 

Week 1

Intro to Yin Yoga

This is a 45-min yoga session.

Participants are lead through a sun salutation warm-up flow and then begin the Yin Yoga session. The focus of Yin Yoga is based on holding stretches coordinated with breaths for an extended amount of time. Participants are taught to focus on the self-love and benefits they’re giving their bodies with the prolonged stretches; releasing toxins, circulating blood.

Ashtanga Yoga Flow 1

This is a 45-min yoga session.

Participants will be lead through a sun salutation warm-up flow and will then be guided through basic yoga asanas (poses) such as warrior 1, 2, and 3, and will be taught how to flow in and out of these basic poses while maintaining good posture. Participants will be focusing on deep stretching and using our prana (breath).

 

Week 2

Intro to Pow Wow Step Step

This is a 30-min Pow Wow Groove Step session

In this video, participants will learn the very basic foundation pow wow dancing steps such as the straight step, and basic kicks and spins. The class will mix in hip hop and pow wow style dancing for a good cardio session with good music and fun!

This is a 30-min Pow Wow Groove Step session

In this video, participants will learn to use the basic foundation pow wow dancing steps such as the straight step, and basic kicks and spins for a good cardio session with good music and fun!

 

Week 3

Yin Yoga Session 2

This is a 45-min yoga session.

Participants are lead through a sun salutation warm-up flow and then begin the Yi Yoga session. The focus of Yin Yoga is based on holding stretches coordinated with breaths for an extended amount of time.
