Lincoln has always been an elite athlete. He played on competitive ‘REP’ teams since he was young. This past season, he played as a 15-year-old on the U18 Midget AAA Soo Greyhounds Team and averaged a point a game throughout the ‘COVID-19 restricted season’.
Lincoln was draft eligible this year and he demonstrated a noticeable increase in dedication to getting stronger and better throughout the season with noticeable results. Although he didn’t get drafted, he will continue to work harder along with his personal trainer and use this learning experience as a motivation to get to that next level.
He is asked to help in sport session for youth at the local recreation centre and has always been involved in community sports within the Garden River and Sault Ste. Marie area. The youth look up to him.
Lincoln admires the NHL player Blake Wheeler (Winnipeg Jets) for the type of game he plays. Lincoln models his game when it comes to being physical, imposing, skilled, seeing the ice, and a very unselfish player.
“I would not hesitate to say he has been one of the smartest players I have ever coached. He is a player who truly loves the game. His patience and poise allow him to slow the pace of the play when need be and his confidence whit the puck is second to none. He has silky smooth hands and his puck skills are excellent.” Head Coach
