Fisher has won a great many cross country races in school and in various road races in Ottawa and Lanark County. In school he has won championships in basketball, soccer, and led his team in cross country races.

He has played on Premier Soccer teams for the past three years, and represented Canada at the High School Futsal World Championships in Florida, placing 4th in the world.

Fisher’s teammates count on him and adults always refer to him as an example of someone who excels in both school and sports. The incredible part is that he also volunteers an exceptional amount of his time to younger kids. He is always giving back.

Fisher has volunteered for the Perth United Soccer Club as a mentor and referee in the grassroots program. All the young kids look up to him and he has the ability to teach them skills with patience while having fun. He has also volunteered in the winter seasons with the Team Player Recreational Hockey and Leadership Program for marginalized youth.

Fisher’s sport hero is Tom Longboat! He won the Regional Heritage Fair on this project and even created a stop motion video.

“I can also tell you with certainty that the kids LOVE Fisher! He interacts with every one of them, from the 3-year-olds who have skates on their feet for the first time, to the 10-year-olds who aspire to be ‘just like him’ when they get older. He makes the kids smile as well as supports them while pushing them to realize their full potential.” District Manager / Jumpstart Charity advocate Ottawa and surrounding Mark’s
