Luc has an incredibly bright future in wrestling, being a two-time qualifier for the Ontario Winter Games, a two-time NWOSSA champion, and has gone 4-4 at two OFSAA championships. He is a member of both Team Ontario for the U17 Canada Wrestling Nationals and was selected for 2020 NAIG Games. Luc also plays and excels in football and soccer.
Luc is incredibly committed and rarely misses an opportunity to get better. Luc leads warm-ups in wrestling, soccer, and football. He is dedicated to helping his teammates improve. Always smiling, Luc brings an incredible focus married with an easy going nature, which clearly shows the pure joy he derives to sports. He is incredibly humble, and despite his athletic excellence, he is down to earth and prepared to hear criticism in the effort to get better.
As a student Luc is an honour roll student who is committed to academic excellence.
Luc is a caring brother, tutor, peer mentor, coach and referee. Luc has been involved with Kenora Minor Soccer for a number of years and he coaches youth soccer teams as well as referees a number of games annually.
Luc’s sports hero is his football coach Chris Penner. Here’s Luc’s words as to why his football coach is his hero, “he’s always been an apparent figure in my sport’s life. I have known him for years as he also coached my father in football, as well as my older brother.”
