Couch to 5k Run/Walk Program

Looking for something new to help get you motivated and get you moving? Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario introduces the Well Nation Couch to 5K Running Program, with walking adaptations. The 6-week program will be virtually lead by ISWO Regional Coordinator, Caroline Calverley on the Facebook Group found here. Caroline will share her progress and have daily check-ins on the group page to help keep everyone motivated.

Join the group with Caroline and dozens of others from across the province who are working to improve their physical wellness and overall wellbeing. Wellness Warriors are encouraged to share progress photos, tips, and motivational words on the Facebook Group page. Caroline will kick start the program on Monday, June 22, but you can start when you’re ready.

Tips for Getting Started
  • Stay hydrated!
  • Find your shoes now and get your favourite socks ready
  • Map out your route you would like to start with
  • Find a walking or running buddy, use the group to stay on track together!


Don’t stress out about where you are currently starting, the goal is to finish the program at your own pace! If you have any questions you can ask the Facebook Group and Caroline or another admin will help you out.
