Intro to Basketball Officiating Course

In partnership with the Ontario Basketball Association, ISWO is pleased to offer a 2-day Basketball Officiating Course for Indigenous youth in the Sudbury Region. This course is open to anyone over the age of 15 who is looking to become certified as a basketball official in the future. The course will be a combination of in-class teachings as well as on the court lessons which will give participants the chance to practice the lessons taught in class. Some of the topics covered in the course may include:
- Definitions
- Fundamentals
- Fouls
- Violations
- Myths
- Mechanics
- 9 Reasons to Officiate
- And more.
Location: Lo-Ellen Secondary School, Sudbury, ON
