The competition is tough and wellness warriors from across Turtle Island and beyond are getting their game on – and you can too!
The Masters Regional Tour presents a series of sport competitions, for you to train, practice and compete for the upcoming 2021 Masters Indigenous Games, scheduled to take place in Ottawa from July 8-11, 2021. The Masters Regional Tour will give you the chance to stay active, develop your sport specific skills and get ready to compete, for victory at the 2021 MIG.
The tour will offer single-sport and multi-sport competition events for Indigenous adults ages 19+, with all first-place teams winning a grand prize of free registration to the 2021 MIG. The tour provides a great opportunity for those looking to stay active and become more involved in sport. The tour is also a great way to build an athletic community for all ages, working towards a common goal and improving your health along the way. Regardless of your skill-level, sport knowledge or experience, the tour gives all competitors a chance to connect and build relationships with like-minded Indigenous people.
So set a goal, gather your friends and family, make a team (or find one along the way), and join the fun. Attending a Masters Regional Tour event is a great way to get everyone involved in an activity that is fun, healthy and inclusive.
Regional events will be held across the province, the first 2021 MIG regional masters competition took place in June, on Rama First Nation with 8 teams competing in Volleyball.
