Basketball Tryouts for Rez Hoops Tournament

Northeast Regional Coordinator Josh Carpenter has organized open basketball tryouts for youth ages 13-18. These tryouts will help with talent identification for the Rez Hoops Basketball Tournament in Six Nations, and possibly the Ontario Native Basketball Invitational. All Indigenous youth (Inuit, Mètis, and First Nations) are encouraged to attend tryouts as this is a great opportunity to be taught by coaches with extensive basketball backgrounds and to work on physical literacy and further develop basketball skills.

For each tryout, the males will have the court from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and the girls will have the court from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Please see the list below for tryout dates.

Tryout dates:

December 1 @ the Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School – Lower gymnasium

December 15 @ the Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School – Lower gymnasium

January 26 @ the  Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School – Lower gymnasium
